چکیده

In this paper we propose a simple but powerful method for normalizing various sources of mismatch between training and testing conditions in speech recognizers, based on a recent training methodology called the Generalized Probabilistic Descent method (GPD). In this new framework, a gradient based method is used to adapt parameters of the feature extraction process in order to minimize distortion between new speech data and existing classi er models, while most conventional normalization/adaptation methods attempt to adapt classi cation parameters. GPD was proposed as a general discriminative training method for pattern recognizers such as neural networks. Up until now this has been used only for classi er design, sometimes in combination with the design of a non adaptive feature extractor. This paper, in contrast, studies the adaptive training benets of GPD in the framework of normalizing the feature extractor to a new pattern environment. Experiments which use this technique to improve Japanese vowel classi cation were conducted and demonstrate the ability to reduce error rates by as much as 40%.

Autoimmune hepatitis

Autoimmune hepatitis is (AIH) is a chronic hepatitis that occurs in children and adults of all ages. It is characterized by immunologic and autoimmune features, including circulating auto antibodies and high serum globulin concentrations. It was first described in the 1950s by term of chronic active hepatitis. It has 2 types with different auto antibodies. Diagnosis is based upon serologic and ...

STRUCTURE NOTE Crystal Structure of a Truncated Version of the Phage Protein gpD

Introduction. Bacteriophage contains a linear doublestranded DNA genome enclosed within an icosahedral capsid of triangulation number T 7, and a flexible, non-contractile, tail. It has been adapted for phage display, providing a valuable alternative to filamentous phages. As a lytic phage, the phage coat is directly assembled in the cytoplasm, and does not pass through the secretion machinery a...

NMR structure note NMR solution structure of the monomeric form of the bacteriophage k capsid stabilizing protein gpD

During virus assembly, viral precursor proteins form an empty capsid (procapsid) that undergoes large structural changes to become a mature capsid. In the case of Escherichia coli bacteriophage k, an icosahedral virus of triangulation number T=7 with a non-contractile tail, the procapsid, is comprised mainly of the major capsid protein gpE. The expansion of the prohead occurs upon DNA packing. ...

Self-Organizing Model for Virtual Enterprises

This paper presents a new self-organizing model based on the generalized particle dynamics (GPD) for virtual enterprises.̂ Differing from traditional organizing model for virtual enterprises, the GPD-based selforganizing model may provide the optimal organization for desired virtual enterprises according to historical organizations and current requirements. The GPD conception, algorithm and its ...

Power allocation rules under fuzzy behavior and multicriteria situations

In this paper, we adopt supreme-utilities among fuzzy level (decision) vectors to propose a power allocation rule, its efficient extension and normalization in the framework of multicriteria fuzzy transferable-utility (TU) games. We also provide several axiomatic results to present the rationality for these rules. Based on different viewpoints, we introduce different formulations and dynamic re...
